When we decided to take on a new construction project, we did our homework and due diligence to find the right builder. During our search, we spoke with several of Dylan’s clients and what struck us from the very beginning is that every single client spoke of Dylan’s work ethic, honesty, clear and constant communication, attention to detail, flexibility, knowledge, experience, and trustworthiness. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE HAD A DREAM OF WHAT OUR NEXT HOME WOULD BE EVER SINCE WE PURCHASED OUR COOKIE-CUTTER-BUILT HOME EIGHT YEARS AGO. This was our 3rd custom build and was by far the best experience building a home. We knew Dylan many years ago as a softball coach (a great one at that too!), but didn’t realize he started his own business until a friend recommended him. From our initial meeting, through the design phase, construction and change orders we have come to appreciate the dedication and professionalism of Dylan and his crew. We broke ground in October 2021 with a completion date estimated to be end of February. We were quite apprehensive about not only building from 1000 miles away but during the worst building material shortage in our lifetime. We heard horror stories of builders going bust or having to wait months for trusses, doors and windows. Not sure how Dylan did it but our house was delivered within 30 days of our promised date. It gave us comfort that he was always available and quickly responded to any issues. If we were ever to build again, Mednick Construction is our choice. We love our house!

Thought we could “general contractor” it ourselves to save money and quickly realized we were out of our minds. Not only did Dylan save the day (sometimes daily) but without a doubt he also saved us more money than we would we have going it alone — especially considering the pandemic and constantly rising material prices. Reliable, honest and very responsive: this was my experience working with Mednick Construction. My project (new home construction in the summer of 2020) was perhaps a little out of the mainstream because of my do-it-yourself requirements. Dylan helped me navigate all the intricacies of permits, codes and subcontractors. He was understanding, quick to reply and very clear in communication. I was introduced to Dylan a few years ago via a recommendation from a friend who had used his services and was very pleased. I needed a roof replacement to include sheathing on a 2000 sq. foot house in Waldorf. I reached out to Dylan and he came out and gave me an estimate. While we were talking, I mentioned that my garage needed new shingles, siding and gutters too. He gave me an estimate and time frame to get the entire job completed. I gave him the required deposit and the job began about a week later. His crew was very professional and completed the house roof in 1 day! The entire job only took a few days to complete and once completed the crew was very adamant in cleaning up after themselves. (Note: a dumpster was needed as well and was placed with care on my freshly paved driveway on wooden blocks so that it would not sink into it. ) There were a few small things that required attention post completion that I pointed out (clearance between roof sheathing and oil furnace vent pipe, ridge vent shingles on one end of house needed fixed….both very minor)…..Dylan and his crew addressed them quickly and once he was finished, I was very pleased. Over the years passed I have developed a good relationship with Dylan and he is my “Go to guy” for any household needs/projects and have recommended him to all of my friends and co-workers.

Demar & Ferndo are absolute professionals to the highest degree. Not only were they delightful, but they were diligent about their work & about protecting the area around their work. When they were finished I actually saw them on their hands & knees with cloths wiping up all the dust from our hardwood floor. I honestly don’t think many folks would’ve done that! The work looks amazing! And it accomplishes exactly what we had hoped. I’m also impressed that they got it all done in one day! I know my brother & sister-in-law Bernie & Kathy Owens are your number one fans & after the pool house you did for us, we were big fans already.
